"Let the game come to you", in other words pass to the open people, and if and when you see an open lane, you take it. Do not take a lane that looks like it may get taken, take a lane that is there. Our offense should be usable as a delay if needed. Run it until we get a good look or a wide open lane.
\n
\nIn this game we were very unselfish, which is good. Watch the video and see that we can still be more disciplined on our decision making on when and where to pass it early in the offense. If someone looks open after 3 passes, someone will be open after 4 or more. Make the defense work and get tired. No rush, don't force. Pick our spots. I didn't see more than a one or two "bad" shots. I saw many times putting people in tough positions to make difficult plays off cutting with a defender right on them. This led to some of our 13 turnovers that shouldn't happen against a team that is not pressuring us.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"65435630","dateCreated":"1387041969","smartDate":"Dec 14, 2013","userCreated":{"username":"ameekins82","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/ameekins82","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/catoctinhshoops.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/65435630"},"dateDigested":1532129362,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Defense","description":"Our primary help defense is pretty solid. Our secondary help needs improvement. That is the help that comes, for instance, when a man drives baseline and help comes. Someone needs to drop and take away anyone coming into the paint. We gave up a lot of lay-ups in this game.
\n
\nOur ball pressure was excellent on the perimeter. There were a couple of "tired" closeouts that resulted in good looks for them, but we did close out and contest every shot. We will try to get a sub in for you when you're tired, but you must let us know when your legs start to get heavy and weak.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"65435612","dateCreated":"1387041753","smartDate":"Dec 14, 2013","userCreated":{"username":"ameekins82","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/ameekins82","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/catoctinhshoops.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/65435612"},"dateDigested":1532129362,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"The Game Overall","description":"We had a chance at the end to win this game. We were there the whole time, at times taking the lead.
